FAQ

Final Destination 2

FAQ

Final Destination 2 is the second movie in the Final Destination series. The first movie, Final Destination (2000) (2000) was originally conceived by American screenwriter Jeffrey Reddick as a episode of "The X-Files (1993) " (1993-2002). The screenplay for Final Destination 2 was written by American screenwriters J. Mackye Gruber and Eric Bress. It was followed by three more sequels: Final Destination 3 (2006) (2006), The Final Destination (2009) (2009), and Final Destination 5 (2011) (2011), as well as several novels and a comic book series.

Death works backwards because each character mentions that they have cheated Death before (all relating to the first Final Destination movie). Kimberly (A.J. Cook) had a premonition, saving them all a second time. Clear (Ali Larter) then realizes that Death is working backwards to tie up the loose ends once and for all.

Death tries to kill all of the surviving four in the hospital with the explosion. Fortunately, Officer Thomas Burke (Michael Landes) grabs Kimberly, pulling himself and her out of the way of a flying rack, which would have hit, incinerated, and killed them. Unfortunately, Clear was right in front of the door when the explosion started in Eugene (Terrence 'T.C.' Carson)'s room. In the special "Choose Their Fate" version of Final Destination 3, however, there is a newspaper article that says both Kimberly and Thomas have been killed by a woodchipper.

Since Kimberly stopped Rory (Jonathan Cherry) from dying, Rory was able to stop the kid from getting hit by the truck. It screwed up Death's plan, so then the kid died from the grill explosion instead of getting hit by a truck.

The theatrical version features alternate scenes where one of the victims attempts to retrieve his ring from the garbage disposal.
