Martin Freeman in The Hobbit
Photo: Warner Bros. Entertainment Weekly has debuted the first photos from The Hobbit to feature Martin Freeman as the film's lead character Bilbo Baggins and to little surprise it looks just like a return to Middle Earth.
They're story comes with a quote from Peter Jackson, speaking of Freeman saying, ''He fits the ears, and he's got some very nice feet... I think he's got the biggest hobbit feet we've had so far. They're a little bit hard to walk in, but he's managed to figure out the perfect hobbit gait.''

Welcome to Top 5 Tuesday, a column that celebrates film geekery, arbitrariness, and jaded cynicism. Each week we'll be listing off the Top 5 persons, places, things, or ideas of our own choosing. This week, in celebration of the release of Thor, Tmp brings you: "The Top 5 Movie Beards."
5. Zach Galifianakis, The Hangover
The Crazed Lunatic Beard
Galifianakis makes most beard-wearing men look like Dakota Fanning. Some say that the entire lumberjacking business completely went under once Galifianakis hit the scene. They took their axes and plaid shirts and went home. They said there was no point in trying anymore. Others say the beard has a life of its own. It hungers. It growls. It loves. In either case, this is a beard to fear.
4. Brian Blessed, King Lear
The Weeping Willow Beard
Like a beautiful, cascading waterfall of greasy, graying, gnarled hair, Brian Blessed's chin curtain is the uncontested monarch of the Kingdom of Beard-dom.

British actor Brian Blessed may be playing Odin in Marvel’s comic book movie Thor. The character is the ruler of the mythological Norse world Asgard, biological father of “the god of thunder” (Thor), and adopted father of “the god of mischief” (Loki).
According to BleedingCool.com, Blessed has already been picked for the role by director Kenneth Branagh. The two worked together on film productions of Shakespeare’s Hamlet and As You Like It. Blessed is best known for playing Prince Vultan in 1980’s Flash Gordon. There has been no confirmation from Marvel on Odin’s casting, so his selection is still considered a rumor, however the news seems to fit with Branagh’s relatively unknown picks so far: Chris Hemsworth as Thor and Tom Hiddleston as Loki. Though a bankable star, Natalie Portman, has been rumored for the female lead.

“Thor” director Kenneth Branagh has already cast one of his previous co-stars in the upcoming Marvel Studios film — and if rumors are to believed, he’s about to do it again.
Bleeding Cool’s Rich Johnston reports that actor Brian Blessed will play Odin in “Thor,” the film adaptation of Marvel’s Thunder God. If his report pans out, Blessed will join the ranks of Tom Hiddleston, previously cast as Loki, which adds yet another layer of Shakespearean credibility to the comic book flick.
Blessed is a regular fixture in Branagh’s directorial work, having provided substantial roles in “Henry V,” “Much Ado About Nothing,” “Hamlet” and “As You Like It.” The actor has also played the leading role in “King Lear,” a Shakespeare-written play that Blessed’s would-be co-star Hiddleston recently referenced himself.
