The film is the adaptation of the serialized graphic novel written by Mars Ravelo and illustrated by Rico Rival in Pilipino Komiks, 1970.

Shown theatrically in Honolulu, Hawaii for one week beginning April 30, 1971 with Drakulita (1969) added as a second feature May 1 - May 6. It also had screenings in Honolulu on July 2 - July 5, 1971 and April 25, 1976.
