With the exception of the lead actors, almost every other actor ever seen on screen has appeared in several other Argentinian shows throughout their own careers. At the time of production, almost the entirety of the Argentinian selection of supporting actors had played a part on the show, making it the first show to have a supporting cast larger than the regular casts of all the other shows on air at the time, combined.
Writer Damián Szifron has defined the four main characters as "right-wing anarchists".
Many have connected this series with The A-Team (1983). As Hannibal does there, Mario Santos (the head of the team) always smokes a cigar when the plan has completed (the only exception being episode 2.8, when he lights a pipe).
