Originally destined to be aired by the Greek National Television (ET1) in 1989. The serial ended up airing on MEGA, becoming the channel's first Greek TV serial.
There were two seasons. The first one consisted of 20 episodes an the second one of 37.
It premiered on Tuesday, November 21, 1989 at 21:30. The programming was for two episodes to be aired every week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays. This changed on Tuesday, February 6, 1990 when it was decided that the serial will air on Tuesdays only.
According to the director himself, the 43 seconds animated sequence before the opening credits was extremely painstaking to be made. It took him more than 48 hours working with his assistant in a damp basement to achieve it.
