Trivia

Ghar Aaya Mera Pardesi

Edit
Song " Ni Main Sass Kutni" was the Hindi version of Punjabi song " Ni Main Saas Kutni" by Heera Group ( England). Singer was Kumar who sang in the movie Bulundi . There was also a remix version for Heera's song in DJ Jiten album B M W 2 (Bad Mad Wicked). The album released in 1994.
Gulshan Kumar arrived at Bhagyashree's house with a huge offer. He would pay her 75 lakhs and sign her for 3 films. 2 films would star her and her husband, but the third would star Bhagyashree in a special appearance with Avinash Wadhwan. They refused the offer as they only wanted to act with each other. Thats when a angry Gulshan Kumar decided to throw out music director Vijay Singh from the film. He was now going to sign Anand Milind. Vijay Singh is the father of Bhagyashree. It was only when Anuradha Paudwal heard Vijay's song she insisted Gulshan Kumar keep the original songs in the film. Gulshan Kumar's ego was hurt and kept playing games. He would keep stopping the shooting from time to time . Gulshan Kumar had invested 25 lakhs in the film. The constant delaying got Ravindra Peepat angry and he found a film financier in Gujurat. Gulshan Kumar now would only hold the music and video distribution rights. Next Ravindra Peepat spoke to Bhagyashree and told her she should do the film. It was only a special appearance and she would not have to do any romantic scene's with Avinash. She finally agreed since Ravindra was a close family friend.
Varsha Usgoankar was extremely mad with Ravindra Peepat. When she was signed for the film she was told she would be the main lead with the second role being a special appearance. Juhi Chawla and Sangeeta Bijlani were approached for the film. Finally Bhagyashree was brought on board. When the promotion started, Varsha was no where to be seen on any poster or audio cassette cover. Bhagyashree was being promoted as the main lead. Ravinder Peepat and Gulshan Kumar passed the blame onto each other.
In 1982 Amit Khanna planned a film titled Ghar Aaya Pardesi. He had signed Kumar Gaurav and Rati Agnihothri for the film. It was shelved after the announcement.
The film did not release theatrically in British Columbia, Canada.
