Amazing show

This is a wonderfully produced program; it takes you behind the scenes of a world-class zoo (The Toronto Zoo) and is entertaining for everyone. It gives you a very personal connection to the staff and really shows what it is like to work there with so many fascinating animals. Although some of the stories near the beginning of the first season became a little repetitive, the show really picked up and managed to hold onto so many viewers. Later many more stories were added, and it even traveled to other zoos in North America to give a broader view on zoos altogether. Some of the narration is quite clever and it is constructed very well. I recommend this show to anyone; it's a great watch! Wish it would keep going, but the zoo staff can only take so much publicity:)

Excellent!

I have been going to the Toronto Zoo ever since I was very young and my family and I are members who visit the zoo on a regular basis. When I heard they were going to have a show, I was delighted.

The reality of animal care -- life and death -- are handled tremendously well. There are moments that will make you laugh as well as moments that will make you cry and have genuine respect for the people who take care of their charges. I have to say, I prefer the segments that are focused on Toronto Zoo as opposed to the other facilities, but that "complaint" sure isn't big enough to make it a 9-rated vote!

That's the End

I'm excited for the DVDs! My family already has the first 2 seasons on VHS, but the DVD shall be great! I wonder if they'll have special features on it at all. It would be really weird to see! Zoo Diaries is so wonderful but its also very special to my family as it's very personal. However, if I am not mistaken, I don't think they are going to be filming any more seasons. Season 3 was supposed to be the last. I can inquire at the zoo about whether they've suddenly changed that, but as far as I've heard they've finished the show for good now. It's a shame but you can understand how annoying it would be to the staff to have the cameras there so often.
