Rich Brownstein, author of Holocaust Cinema Complete: A History and Analysis of 400 Films, has stated that he believes this to be the worst film about the holocaust, calling it "grotesque" and "hideous in every possible way." He has admitted that he does not like to talk about the film, lest he encourage anyone to seek it out.
