Tequila & Bonetti

1/10

Awful. But strangely addictive.

There's this American detective (Bonetti) who speaks English throughout the series.

Everyone else is Italian and has their dialogue dubbed in English. There's a supposed sidekick dog (Tequila) who doesn't do anything, apart from rolling over on his back and making supposedly 'funny' remarks.

One especially terrible episode features 'Bonetti' having to dress in drag so that he can infiltrate a gay/transvestite club to investigate some kind of crime. The ensuing drama/comedy is tortuous, to say the least.

A funny series, but for all the wrong reasons with dreadful, hackneyed story lines and acting.

Truly appalling, but as I said, strangely addictive.

A DVD release? Who on Earth would buy it?

Great series ...

I have seen every episode, I could see on TV in Germany. It is a very good series and I always loved the parts, if Det. Bonetti played the piano... It was also very funny to see how the the Det. and the dog where reacting on the behaviour of the other "actor".

The conversation between them also caused a lot of laughter!

All in all I hope that all parts will be available on DVD in the near future!!!

I liked it and thought it was Fresh

Ciao,

I liked the show it was better then most of the shows that I saw in Italy, when I lived there. Yes I saw the series Tequila & Bonetti in Italy, and I was surprised that there was this series with this American Italian actor in it. It was a cool series. There is another Series in Italy with an American Actor Terrance Hill that takes the lead as a priest called Don Matteo and that one has run for years and years in Italy. It is amazing I starting to miss T.V in Italy , now that is strange! I would like to see Tequila e Bonetti again. I also think I am getting home sick for Italy even though I am American and only lived there in Italy 6 years. Maybe I will return.
