FAQ

Hollywood at Your Feet: The Story of the Chinese Theatre Footprints

John Tartaglia, of Sherman Oaks - at the time, was that man. In fact, the last actor for whom he had performed a footprints ceremony was Mr. Eddie Murphy in 1987 - just a year before his passing. However, John was given the the opportunity to perform his first ceremony for actress Jean Simmons in 1953. All this, by chance, as John was initially hired as the Interior Decorator for Grauman's Chinese Theatre.

Due to my SEO work of our family name, you may now find a substantial amount of sites with information on John Tartaglia, the Theatre Decorator and Cement Artist for the Chinese Theatre Hand and Footprint ceremonies!

My name is Dan Ferrero and I have been afforded this opportunity to share this information with you all now, thanks to the internet. You will now know a more true recount of historical facts relating to Hollywood's history. The surviving family of John Tartaglia would very much appreciate that the realization of John's recognition finally be accepted to go down in history equally along with the services of Jean Klossner. The CEO of MANN Theatres, Peter Dobson, has recently offered the Tartaglia family the opportunity to recognize John's services through the publication sold at Grauman's Gift store - Look for our special insert soon!
