In February 1929, Variety announced that George Beranger and John McDermott (who worked on this movie), along with John Litel, Fritz Feld, Sy Bartlett, Jimmy Phillips, James Guilfoyle, and Ann Warrington, would be putting on a play called Squawk, which was written by McDermott and was also to be produced by him. The vaudevillian caper ran for a short time at the Mayan Theater, and the opening night was attended by industry people.
