31 years before the films release Esha Deol's mother Hema Malini and Zayed Khan's father Sanjay Khan had acted in their only film together Babul Ki Galiyan 1972.
Uday Choprq was signed for the film but he opted out. Next Vivek Oberoi was approached. He also declined. It was then that Pantaloon discovered Zayed Khan.
