Megamol is a contraction of the stage nicknames of the two stars: Mega for Sharon Cuneta and Gamol for Andrew E'.
During the scene where Clark and Cora watch the movie to hide from the henchmen, the film, "Pintsik", another Viva film, was released in May of the same year Megamol was filmed, which the latter was released 3 months later.
