Complex issues, good acting - interesting and entertaining little short

A straight man goes into a gay bar in Scotland and sits uncomfortably at the bar as a drag artist sings on stage. The drag artist joins him at the bar and the two talk - angrily at first but with a little more understanding. However neither man is entirely comfortable with his feelings and both react differently when push comes to shove.

When I watched this I had no idea what it was about and it was only later that the meaning of the title came to me! The plot is interesting, looking at two men with confused sexuality's - but neither in the way you expect them to have. One works at the club and the other is in for a reason he can't place his finger on, only knowing the place cause his mates go there for queer-bashing.

It holds the interest well because I got sucked into the characters, not knowing everything about them and slowly getting to uncover more and more as the film goes on. The film hints at one thing and then the characters do another that you don't expect. It makes it enjoyable even if the issues require some thought to try and stick with.

The two actors, Hickey and Rimkus do very well and manage to bring a lot to their roles with looks or moments where their faces betray the inner battle being raged as they decide how to act or how they should be feeling. They help to make the film feel a little more complex and add value to what is already a well written film.

Overall this is a good look at a confused sexuality in men who don't even know if they have a confused sexuality. It's not perfect and it's issues aren't all as clear as they could be, but it's still enjoyable and interesting. Funny title too!
