Pran openly stated he did not like the film and it was not a good movie. It was only Danny's performance and some scene's which were good. He felt having a question mark at the end of the movie might have worked in Hollywood, but not in India. People in India up till then did not like open endings in films.
Danny worked in the film because he was doing Sunil Sikand's previous shelved film Karishma.
