Monty Norman's famous James Bond theme is used in the film Hamrahi. The original music score was titled "Good Sign Bad Sign" by Monty Norman. It was suppose to be used in a 1950's musical but the project got shelved. The music was later recreated for the James Bond series. The theme music was later used in the train sequence in Hamrahi. The again used in Randhir Kapoor's breaking out scene in the movie Ram Bharose. At 4:20 in the song "Khool Jayega Kismat Ka Tala" from Gereftaar (1985), the James Bond music is sampled. The James Bond music plays when Jagdeep enter's a party in Soorma Bhopali. The title sequence of Warrant also had the same inspired tune. Raam Laxman song "Tumhe Aksar Dekha Hain Khwabo Mein" from Prem Shakti made a entire song of the tune. Later the same James Bond inspired music appeared at 0:41 and 1:07 of the song "Jadoo" from Padmashree Laloo Prasad Yadav.
The film was originally titled "Interview".

Anand Sagar did not show the film to his father till he completed it. Afterwards Ramanand Sagar made a suggestion to his son. Anand refused the idea and released the the film. The film managed to do decent. He later felt had he listened to his father, the film might have made more money.
