Sanjay Dutt, Govinda, Neelam Kothari, Amrish Puri, and Farha Naaz in Do Qaidi (1989)

Trivia

Do Qaidi

Edit
Do Qaidi was the last time Amrish Puri would work with Govinda. Due to Govinda signing 45 films he would arrive late on the sets, if at all. Amrish puri was left waiting once and called Govinda "gandi naali ka keeda"(ant from sewer water). This offended Govinda who after 1988 never signed a film again with Puri.
The film was launched in 1986 and took 3 years to make due to Govinda's date problem.
One of the songs spoofed in the parody song is "Chalo Chalo Chale Dur Kahin" from the movie "Sindoor" and it was picturized on Govinda and Neelam who are also paired opposite each other in this movie.
The scene in which Neelam (a thief) steals an expensive necklace from a lady's neck and then, out of fear of getting caught, puts it in Govinda's pocket (also a thief) is identical to a scene in "Shaan" (1980) between Parveen Babi and Amitabh Bachchan.
The movie started with Sanjay Dutt in a clean shaven avatar. But after a while the director changed his look with a moustache since the clean shaven look was not matching the Mawali nature of the character
