The scene of the engagement party, where Farid al-Atrache sings and the dancer Atoutta swoops around the room during the instrumentals, was filmed in the flat where al-Atrache lived. It faced the Nile, and al-Atrache owned the entire building at the time.
A poster advertising the movie appears in several scenes in 'The House of a Thousand Dolls' (1967). The poster has an alternative English transliteration ('Chate El Hob') of the Arabic title. Several cast members' names are also rendered differently into English to the ones listed here.
