Compiled from two episodes of "Rawhide" (1959), "The Backshooter" and "Incident of the Running Man".
Clint Eastwood was filming in Spain when he learned of the distributor's intent to theatrically release this film. He flew to Rome to file an order to prevent the release, concerned that audiences would assume it was an original film and connected to his collaborations with Sergio Leone rather than a cheap attempt to cash in on his name using edited together stories of his Rowdy Yates character from the Rawhide TV show. Eastwood was ultimately unsuccessful but in the end the film was (apparently) only released theatrically in West Germany in 967. As of 2025 it is believed no copies of the theatrically released version still exist. It is also unclear if the film had ever been screened on television in any country.
