Madhu Kapoor wanted to have an affair with Anil Sharma during the making of the film. She wanted Anil Sharma to increase her role and make her a star.Anil Sharma refused and their working relationship got strained.
Anil Sharma went on record to say that Rakhee would constantly report to the shootings fully intoxicated. she would constantly be sleeping in her room .
Mazhar Khan was signed for the film but later dropped out due to date problems. He also did not feel comfortable working with Deepak Parashar. Deepak Parashar felt Mazhar was spreading lies about him. When Mazhar left the film Naseeruddin Shah was approached and he rejected the film. Sujit Kumar was then signed but he got into a fist fight with Deepak Parashar at a party. Sujit then opted out of the film. That is when Suresh Oberoi was signed for the role.
Deepak Parashar spread stories about a romance with Rakhee during the making of the movie. When she found out she was fuming and gave Deepak a piece of her mind.
