A journalist created a fake story, that Deepak Parashar accused Rajesh Khanna of interfering with his role. But truth came out later, when director said it is remake of Babu starring Sivaji Ganeshan which was itself remake of Malayalam film Odeyil Ninnu.
After viewing the complete film, Hema Malini suggested to the producer to add more scenes between her and Rajesh Khanna.
