Vishal Anand the lead actor of the film also the producer had come from house of RD Burman and told lyricist Amit Khanna.Due to busy schedule of RD Burman the film is getting delayed same thing had happened when Laxmikanth Pyarelal was signed.Amit Khanna then recommended Vishal Anand to meet a young talented boy from Calcutta Bappi Lahiri whom he had met at Nav Ketan office of Dev Anand.Vishal Anand and Amit Khanna met Bappi Lahiri and he played some tunes and ended up signing the film.
Nazneen whose career wasn't doing well in her previous films she decided to get a makeover for the film and turn glamorous.She was seen in a two piece bikini in the film.
