Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie are in agreement on how their initial falling out happened – a combo of poor communication skills and being in their 20s.
While talking to Alex Cooper on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast, the iconic duo looked back on their falling out while working on “The Simple Life.” Hilton said the craziness of their tabloid-making lifestyle definitely played a factor.
“Back then, the media was just so toxic and they loved starting feuds between people because obviously, that sold tabloids, so it was mostly just the media spinning things and creating drama that didn’t even exist, which was normal during the 2000’s,” she said. “They did it with everyone.”
Richie agreed that coupled with the fact the two were only in their 20s and still did not really know how to talk with one another led to their separation.

Never question Nicole Richie’s devotion to her bees. The Beverly Hills homesteader — she was raising chickens and jarring her own honey long before the term “tradwife” was coined — is wrapping up a story about how her father, Lionel Richie, banished her beehive from his property when she makes the depth of her passion crystal clear.
This anecdote of the “All Night Long” singer’s unwanted insects is quirky and just revealing enough to be part of Richie’s chat show arsenal. I’ve heard it before, though not the part about what happened next. She didn’t relocate the bees to her own home. They went to live on their beekeeper’s property in the San Fernando Valley, which sounds a lot like the proverbial farm upstate. The bees are alive and thriving, I’m assured, and producing more of her small batch sweetener as we speak. But she...

Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie Bring Back an Iconic ‘Simple Life’ Catchphrase in ‘The Encore’ Teaser
Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie are finally reuniting on-camera all thanks to Peacock.
The “Simple Life” pair is teaming back up for “Paris & Nicole: The Encore.” In a new teaser, the duo can be seen judging a singer for their apparent opera audition before stopping her mid-song to offer notes.

Dakota Fanning is reflecting on surviving the “fallen child actor” trope. The “Perfect Couple” star, who began acting at age six back in 2000, told The Cut that she endured being asked “super-inappropriate questions” during interviews when she was a kid.
“In interviews at a young age, I remember journalists asking me, ‘How are you avoiding becoming a tabloid girl?’ People would ask super-inappropriate questions,” Fanning said. “I was in an interview as a child and somebody asked, ‘How could you possibly have any friends?’ It’s like, ‘Huh?’”
Fanning added that she has “definitely felt this kind of vibe from people almost wanting me to fail or something” as she has been in Hollywood for almost 25 years.
“It makes you feel a little bit guarded,” she said of outgrowing (and outlasting) the stereotypes of being a child actor. “I’m just living my life over here.”

“The Challenge” and “Below Deck” aren’t mere TV shows; they’re practically the unscripted-tv version of cinematic universes, spanning multiple series that run for many years.
Which is a challenge in its own right for Julie Pizzi, who produces those franchises as president of Bunim/Murray and 51 Minds, two different production companies owned by French media giant Banijay.
“Betting on unscripted is a great bet because unscripted has a great price point, has such engagement with the audience, lots of fandom,” she said on the latest episode of the Variety podcast “Strictly Business.” “And I think that you can turn it over pretty quickly, while some of the scripted shows are so remarkable, where there’s so many scenes and so many locations that it just takes longer to create.”

The unscripted series ‘The Challenge” returns to MTV on August 14th for the 40th season.

In 2003, Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie, two of Hollywood’s party girl princesses, starred in one of the early 2000s most prevalent television shows. ‘The Simple Life’ was a reality series in which Hilton and Richie left their wardrobes and credit cards behind to live in the countryside for five weeks. When you think of the Hilton family today, you probably think of influencers such as Paris Hilton and Nicky (Hilton) Rothschild. You might even think of the extensive hospitality businesses somewhat owned by the family, Hilton Hotels Corporation, founded and created by Conrad Hilton in 1919. The Hilton family history is extensive, so today we will be talking about Conrad Hilton and his son, William Barron Hilton’s history. Conrad Hilton is one of seven and was born in New Mexico in 1887 to parents Augustus Halvorsen Hilton and Mary Genevieve Laufersweiler. Conrad Hilton would ultimately begin what we know now as the Hilton Hotel Corporation.

Back in the late 90s, a handful of powerful Hollywood producers set out on what was then a very exciting venture for genre fans: Dark Castle Entertainment, a production company dedicated to making medium-budget horror movies with A-list casts. Inspired by the legacy of beloved 50s schlockmeister William Castle, Dark Castle was going to remake some of the producer-director’s most famous works, like House on Haunted Hill and 13 Ghosts, in addition to focusing on original material. These movies weren’t going to be cheapies like Castle’s were – they’d have substantial budgets for the genre, top-tier creative teams behind the camera, and recognizable faces from film and television in front.. It was an inspired idea, and though now we look back on the venture with bittersweet memories, Dark Castle definitely left its mark on the horror genre. Calling Warner Bros. its home, Dark Castle had put out...

Though our younger viewers may know her better for her friendship with Kim Kardashian, the spotlight shone brightly on Paris Hilton, especially in the early 2000s. But was she just “famous for being famous”, or is there more to this Paparazzi Princess?
Like her friend Kim, Paris Hilton’s fame was bolstered by the infamy that comes from being the star of a wildly popular
sex tape, 2004’s cleverly-titled 1 Night in Paris. “That’s Hot.” As with Kim Kardashian, questions remain even decades later about whether the video was released intentionally to capitalize on her growing fame. For her part, Paris has since denied consenting to the video’s release and has settled out-of-court for the damage to her image and reputation. Perhaps the grossest thing about the video (bear with me) is that it opens with a title card that says “In memory of 9/11/01… We will never forget.” Seriously.

Former Netflix Head of Comedy Jane Wiseman is joining Jane Featherstone and Liz Murdoch‘s Sister entertainment group in a newly created position as Head of U.S. Television. Based in Los Angeles, Wiseman will report to Cindy Holland, Sister’s Global CEO, and will lead the company’s U.S. television business, specifically focused on development and production of premium scripted series.
This is the second senior member of Holland’s executive team at Netflix, where she led original TV content for many years, that she has brought to Sister since joining the company in July. In October, Efrain Miron was named to another newly created position as President, Strategy and Business Affairs, with a focus on the U.S. studio and portfolio companies.
Building out Sister’s U.S. operation under Holland has been a major priority as the company is plotting further expansion and a path to profitability.

Nicole Richie has been a “diehard fan” of the 1991 cult comedy “Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter’s Dead” for as long as she can remember.
“I’ve been quoting this movie my whole life,” she says.
And now, life has come full circle because the former “Simple Life” reality television icon stars in director Wade Allain-Marcus’ “Don’t Tell Mom” remake as fashion company boss Rose.
The new film stars Simone Joy Jones as Tanya, a 17-year-old whose summer plans are upended when her mom (“Ms. Pat” star Patricia Williams) checks herself into a health retreat. Things completely unravel when the babysitter, played by Oscar nominee June Squibb, hired to take care of Tanya and her siblings suddenly dies.
“When I heard it was going to be a remake, I was like, ‘What does this mean?’” she says. “So I jumped on a Zoom with Wade and he was like, ‘This...
