Drew Carey loves to have fun with the contestants on The Price is Right. These moments usually come organically for Drew, and the word is that he mostly improvises the moments when they happen. That happened this week on the show when he brought up a contestant.
Drew Carey Brings Up A New Contestant On The Price Is Right
Drew Carey got a chance to share the stage with a new player this week on the popular game show. Of course, the big draw for a game like The Price Is Right is that anyone in the audience has the chance to “come on down” for some big money. However, Drew noticed something else about a player recently.
One player had the exact same name as him, kind of. After the bidding was won, a new contestant came up onto the stage with the name “Carey” on his name badge.

As host of The Price Is Right, Drew Carey always shows love to the contestants on stage and recently took it further, suggesting marriage to one.
During an episode of the CBS game show, he mentioned how he loved a contestant’s name.
The contestant had Drew’s last name, Carey, as his first name, prompting the host to chat with him further about it.
“I love your name,” he said as he shook hands with the man, asking, “What’s your last name?”
“Klingfas,” the man replied, with Drew confirming what he heard.
“If we got married, we’d be Drew Carey Carey Clingfus,” the host joked as the contestant laughed over the moment.
In the Instagram clip, announcer George Gray also joked about Drew and Carey being “lovebirds” when he announced Carey would play for a fun trip to Playa Del Carmen. Carey won the trip by playing Freeze Frame.

Tonight marked the first time Jon Stewart returned to The Daily Show since Donald Trump was found guilty on 34 felony counts, and the host went after the media, Trump and President Joe Biden.
Stewart roasted Fox News’ Laura Ingraham for calling the justice system a “banana republic.”
The comedian went on to call out South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott for claiming on CNN that the justice system “hunts Republicans while protecting Democrats” on the very same day Hunter Biden faced jury selection for federal gun charges.
He joked that the hosts of Fox & Friends were “using pillows to cover their boners” at that news.
After that show’s correspondents didn’t correct Trump for claiming he never said “lock her up” about former presidential opponent Hillary Clinton, Stewart put them on blast, referencing Fox News’ recent $747 million settlement over repeated false election claims.
“And that, ladies and gentleman, I present to you,...

Paul Justman, director of the acclaimed 2002 documentary Standing in the Shadows of Motown as well as classic MTV-era music videos including the J. Geils Band’s “Centerfold” and Diana Ross’ “Muscles,” has died at his home in the Hollywood Hills. He was 74.
His March 7 death was announced by his brother, the J. Geils keyboard player Seth Justman, to The New York Times for an obituary today.
Named Best Non-Fiction Film of 2002 by the New York Film Critics, among other awards including two Grammys, Standing in the Shadows of Motown chronicled the story of the Funk Brothers, the legendary, if at the time largely unknown, studio musicians who played on numerous Motown hits. The film gave long overdue credit to musicians Jamerson, Jack Ashford, Bob Babbitt, Joe Hunter, Uriel Jones, Joe Messina, Eddie Willis, Richard “Pistol” Allen, Benny “Papa Zita” Benjamin, Eddie “Bongo” Brown, Johnny Griffith, Earl Van Dyke and Robert White,...

Congratulations to the Chicago Blackhawks, who won the NHL’s Stanley Cup Wednesday night in a Game 6 overtime win over the Philadelphia Flyers. One of the many elated fans last night was commentator, and former Blackhawk, Jeremy Roenick. As Jr watched the 2010 squad hoist the franchise’s first Cup in 49 years, he remembered how he was there in 1992, only to be swept in four games by the Pittsburgh Penguins. Bottom lip quivering, barely holding back tears, he said, “For the kid who was there in 1992 who was crying when I came off the ice in after we lost Game 4 at Chicago Stadium — you waited 18 years.

Des Moines - During the 20th Century when a young boy or girl wanted to know how to be an adult, they’d learn from the movies. This education was not from merely emulating the stars in Hollywood films. There were thousands of movies made for the classrooms that covered nearly every subject a young mind needed to absorb. And thousands of those 16mm films found their way into Skip Elsheimer’s A/V Geeks educational film center.
Skip tours the country giving presentations of the films in various theaters, museums, art galleries and occasionally a classroom. He’s sharing another batch of gems in two new DVD sets from Kino. How to Be a Woman and How to Be a Man are instructional, inspirational and horrific. Strange to see what professionals thought was great advice. Here’s a little sampler from How to Be a Woman:

Rapturous reviews call James Cameron's alien love story 'astonishing,' 'inventive.'
By Eric Ditzian
"Avatar"

"Avatar" won't come out for another week, but advance screenings have already taken place on both sides of the Atlantic and early reviews are streaming in. The consensus is staggering, from near-universal praise from bloggers on Twitter to a 100 percent approval rating on the movie aggregate site Rotten Tomatoes as of Friday morning (December 11).
Yup, the Web has a lot of love for James Cameron's big blue alien love story. Taking place about 140 years in the future, the film follows crippled ex-Marine Jake Sully (Sam Worthington) as he lands in a mining colony on the planet of Pandora, populated by a race of aliens called the Na'vi. Given the opportunity to scout the land via a mind-controlled Na'vi avatar, Sully ends up falling for a native named Neytiri...

Yes, Whiteout was met with a rather chilly reception at the box office when some really bad word-of-mouth concerning ... well ... everything about it ... started spilling out of the handful of theatre-goers that bit the bullet and went to see it. But did it get a fair shake? Now that the movie's hitting DVD and Blu-ray, you'll get your chance to find out.
According to DVDActive the film will be hitting home video on January 19th, 2010, with the following features in tow:
Additional scenes (both packages) The Coldest Thriller Ever Story featurette (Blu-ray only) Freeze Frame: From Page to Screen featurette (Blu-ray only) Digital Copy (Blu-ray only)

Fall's Kate Beckinsale-starring Whiteout got a chilly reception in the theaters, now it's coming to DVD and Blu-Ray on January 19, 2010. Exclusive to the Blu-Ray release will be the featurettes: The Coldest Thriller Ever Story and Freeze Frame: From Page to Screen . Additional scenes are also included. The DVD will contain simply the bonus scenes. And early look at the package art is here . I'll update this spot when we get a hi-res version of the cover.

Okay, so the upcoming remake of "Clash of the Titans" isn't a comic book movie. I could try to make all sorts of connections between the film's cast (Sam Worthington, Liam Neeson, Danny Huston, etc.) and comic book movies ("Green Lantern," "Batman Begins," "Wolverine"), but let's be honest here: it looks really freakin' cool and that's why I'm posting it here. Enjoy.
Giant scorpions, Medusa, "300"-style brawls and Liam Neeson as Zeus. I'm sold.
If you like what you see (and even if you don't), be sure to check out the Freeze Frame "Clash of the Titans" commentary on MoviesBlog.MTV.com, too.

Many of us woke up this morning to the sight of an exciting new trailer, for Louis Leterrier's remake of "Clash of the Titans." Other than a footage-lite set visit, we really haven't seen anything from the actual movie until now. And it's looking pretty sweet, as you saw in the trailer this morning. This latest edition of Freeze Frame doesn't make it look any sweeter, but it does get a whole lot funnier. Enjoy.

Yesterday we gave you a tease, only the smallest taste, of the just-released three and a half minute trailer for James Cameron's "Avatar." Well MTV's resident mad scientists -- ie our digital producers -- have been working hard with the full trailer to twist it into an all-new episode of Freeze Frame for your viewing pleasure.
Want to know who the stars are, how long its been since Cameron made a proper movie and other fun, informative tidbits? Take them and the shiny new trailer in simultaneously in the "Avatar" Freeze Frame trailer, embedded below.

The latest trailer for "The Wolfman" hit last week. Personally, I'm much more excited for the Benicio del Toro-starring remake of the 1941 creature feature now. Where the previous trailer fell short in delivering man-dog action, this one brings the bared teeth and then some. And since there's nothing funnier than a man turning into a flesh-eating dog (seriously... nothing funnier), the trailer was practically screaming -- or perhaps Howling -- for a Freeze Frame treatment.
Check out the untouched trailer after the jump.

Welcome to our latest episode of Freeze Frame! This edition takes a look at the recently released "Toy Story 3" trailer, which gives us (gasp!) the first hints of story for Woody and Buzz's long-awaited return to the silver screen. There are too many months to wait between now and the movie's June 2010 release; we've been watching and re-watching the trailer so much that a Freeze Frame became downright necessary. Enjoy!

I know I'm regionally biased, but Mean Creek is not merely a great Boston Band; they're a really great band period. The J. Geils Band at the Worcester Centrum was the first concert I ever experienced. This was a few years before "Cenetrfold"/ "Freeze Frame" J. Geils . It was more the Full House Live J. Geils era, with "First I Look at The Purse", "(Ain't Nothin' but a)House Party", "Whammer Jammer" ie the down and dirty street shuffle, combat zone, jungle boogie shit that makes you proud of your dirty water heritage. The teaser trailer for Chris Nolan's "Inception" is excellent for a lot of reasons. It looks cool as hell for starters. There's also the fact that this is exactly what a teaser should be. Lots of tantalizing imagery, no secrets revealed. Love it. More than a few directors could stand to take a page from this particular lesson.
After watching the trailer again... and again and again and again and again, the MTV production wizards whipped up a Freeze Frame edition of the "Inception" tease for your viewing pleasure. So view and be pleased already. You'll also find the vanilla teaser after the break.

There's a little bit of re-branding going on here at MTV. Remember last night, when I posted the "New Moon" trailer image gallery? "Freeze Frame," as it was once called, will be something else the next time we do one. Now, "Freeze Frame" refers to our remixed, commentary-ridden trailers, like you saw last week in the 14 second tease. And since you enjoyed that one so much, we've done a Freeze Frame for the full trailer as well.

Now, even though the new trailer keeps things simple and doesn’t reveal too much about the story, that doesn’t mean there aren’t some things we can learn about Shyamalan’s live-action adaptation of the award-winning animated series. Heck, we’re pretty sure there are some of you out there who probably haven’t even heard of “The Last Airbender” until now — but that’s going to change.
Here’s a quick breakdown of “Airbender” alongside some shots from the new trailer. Consider it “Airbender 101″ for the uninitiated.

Is the forthcoming film "Aa Dekhen Zara" very similar to British movie "Freeze Frame"?
This question now being asked in Bollywood gains significance because the Neil Nitin Mukesh-Bipasha Basu starrer was earlier titled "Freeze". But the lead actor maintains the two are very different.
"What nonsense! I will reaffirm that 'Aa Dekhen Zara' is an absolutely original film based on a completely original concept. It's not at all a copy of any film. There is not a single element in the film that has been copied," Neil told reporters.
"Freeze Frame", a 2004 film starring Lee Evans in a lead role, was about an ultra-paranoid murder suspect who takes to filming himself round-the-clock to provide an alibi just in case he's ever accused of another crime.
Directed by Jehangir Surti, "Aa Dekhen Zara" tells the story of a man who gets a camera that can tell the future.

Batman: The Motion Picture Anthology: 1989-1997 is best described as epic. Four Batman films in high-definition on separate discs packed with extra features - that's a nice package if ever there was one. This will be one of those reviews where less attention will be given to the movies themselves (as the last one came out over 10 years ago) and almost all of this review will be given to the extra features on each disc. Quite honestly, if you don't know the plots of these movies you really shouldn't be buying a Batman anthology.
Before I get into the Extra Features of the individual Blu-ray discs, I think it'll be easier if I establish the standard features present on all of the discs. Unless otherwise mentioned, each disc features an audio commentary by the film's director (Tim Burton or Joel Schumacher), the film's theatrical trailer and an installment in...

The first story: Shelby (Laura Breckenridge) and her boyfriend Rob (Lost Boys: The Tribe’s Tad Hilgenbrink) are driving at night. Rob is behind the wheel, and has joined a convoy with two other vehicles to make better time.
Stopping at a gas station to refuel, Rob meets Tryton (May’s Kevin Gage), the driver of the 18-wheeler leading the way, and a father traveling with his family who is picking up the rear. As the trio hits the highway again, Shelby tells Rob that she saw a girl in the back of Tryton’s truck. Rob assures her that Tryton told him that he’s traveling alone. Chicago – We apologize to the people behind these four titles but the star power is a little dim in this edition of HollywoodChicago.com’s DVD Round Up. When a canceled vampire series is arguably the biggest release in a four-pack of titles, it’s a weird edition of the Round Up. Prepare yourself.
“Amusement,” “City of Ember,” “College,” and “Moonlight”. A straight-to-dvd horror movie, a TV series cancelled after one year, and two movies that barely opened in theaters and made a Combined $13 million in domestic gross. These titles are for specialized audiences but that’s why we love the Round Up. Enjoy.

I don’t really think that either the writer (Jake Wade Hall, The Hitcher) or director (John Simpson, Freeze Frame) of Amusement would take it as much of an insult if they heard me say that the film delivered exactly what it promised. I took one look at the DVD box, and presumed that this was going to be a film about a weird guy with some sort of clown fixation who killed off young, attractive women for reasons that really only make sense to him. I wasn’t too far off. The film opens with vignettes(kind of Creepshow-style) of three young women: Shelby (Laura Breckenridge), who is driving home on the highway with her boyfriend; Tabitha (Katheryn Winnick), who is babysitting her two nephews (real-life brothers Preston and Brennan Bailey); and Lisa (Jessica Lucas), who is looking for her missing room-mate. They’re unconnected, or are they? Well,...

The official site for Amusement, the long-delayed anthology from Warner Bros, has finally opened its doors to the public, offering up new images and more information for the film which is skipping its planned theatrical release and going straight to DVD on January 20th.
The story follows three women who are stalked by a psycho from their past who they believed had long forgotten about them. Now a sick series of games are played on the three girls, along with other hapless victims, as the killer finally gets some long-delayed retribution.
Jake Wade Wall (When a Stranger Calls redux) penned the film, which was directed by Freeze Frame helmer John Simpson. Some of the images on the site are pretty cool, I have to admit; I just hope the film itself was worth the wait. Check out the official Amusement site here for more!

From That Creepy Old Director/Actor Who Usually Makes Movies Set In New York And Sleeps With His Daughter: From the director of Match Point? Really? The most-un-Woody Allen movie ever? An international poster for the horror film Saw, a trade print ad for Saw and a newspaper ad for the comedy Meet the Fockers are among the winners of The Hollywood Reporter's 34th annual Key Art Awards. The Incredibles/SBC campaign also won a pair of awards, in the co-branded print race and the co-branded AV competition. Building on a practice begun last year, winners in seven of the 29 categories were announced in advance of the awards show, which takes place May 5 at the Kodak Theatre at Hollywood & Highland. The Key Arts, which acknowledge achievement in motion picture advertising materials, also will honor the festival poster for the eighth annual LA International Short Film Festival in the category of film festival/market posters and the thriller Freeze Frame in the international audio-visual category. This year's Key Arts, which attracted 1,420 submissions, will be hosted by actor-comedian Kevin Nealon.

First Look for 'Frame' rights
NEW YORK -- First Look Media has acquired worldwide rights, excluding the United Kingdom, to writer-helmer John Simpson's futuristic thriller Freeze Frame. Starring Lee Evans (There's Something About Mary), Rachael Stirling and Colin Salmon, the film premiered this year at the Tribeca Film Festival. Frame follows Evans as a man who nearly escapes a murder conviction and spirals into paranoia, recording in detail his every move via camera should the police accuse him again. When the body of a murdered woman surfaces, Evans is targeted as the prime suspect.
