The original. cast of this film was Manoj Kumar, Rajesh Khanna, Shatrugan Sinha, and Hema Malini. The film has music by Shanker Jaikishan, It was first announced in 1976. When Manoj left the film due to problems, Rajesh stepped into his role, Shatrughan stepped into Rajesh Khanna's role and Kanwaljeet was signed for the role Shatrughan was to do.
Shanker-Jaikishan were the regular Music Composers of Filmaker Sohanlal Kanwar, from the year 1970s with Be-Imaan, Pehchan to this film. Even after Jaikishan, he continued to take Shanker from the film Sanyasi.
Shatrughan Sinha and Rajesh Khanna kept arriving late on the sets causing Sohanlal Kanwar to alot of tension. There was a joke on the films sets as to see who would come late.
