Back at Torrington Academy Martin Mystery is at his usual trying to pick up girls, this time in the lunch line; doesn't go well. Diana Lombard (Martins Step sister) suggest to him personal grooming if he wants to pick up girls, this leads to Diana and Martin making a bet to see if Martin can stay clean a whole day, the loser has to massage Java's foot. The three get called in by M.O.M the head of the center and are put on the case of the mysterious disappearances. They arrive in France and with a investigation find a bog monster is the culprit they research the monster but the last page of the book is ripped out. Now they have no clue on how to stop the monster, and with the abductions of children accelerating they are on the clock. Will Martin,Diana and Java be able to find the last page of the book in time? and Who will the looser of the bet?
