I actually used to watch that show all the frickin time. I loved the skits, like fart smelling kids, the Simpsons parody, and...well...I guess over the time pot has destroyed my memory, so thats about all I can remember of the show. I just remember I always found Rov Tiefenbach very funny. YTV should re-air those old shows, like "Rocco's Modern Life" and stuff like that.

The level of creativity, surprising social commentary, understanding what would be funny to different kids hasn't, to my knowledge, yet been surpassed.
The younger kids were top knotch, the teens spot on up and commers and the adults all well known canadian actor-comedians. The care and feeling the children were given on set came through the camera. A viewer felt this was a safe space the let their guard down and enjoy themselves.
Production and direction were great and even the music and visuals of the intro were well tailored to grab the attention and memory of the children of the times. Heck I still get this intro in my head periodically.
The writing was some of the best children's sketch comedy post You Can't Do That on Television and for my money, slightly better. Topping that off was a mix of stop motion skits (bananas being people) and animated transitions (The Planktons on a microscope with drawn over silhouettes look like characters, Wonder Dud 'superhero')
To my memory it was the only for and by children's pure sketch show of the time with YCDTOT having a live band and hosting segment. Frankly I haven't seen children's entertainment match the format since.
I would pay good money for the full series... hell I'd pay good money for this show to make a comeback. Some of the clips on YouTube have stuck with me since '94 ... I'm 42 and still get random skits from this show in my head!

I remember watching this show at night before I had to go to bed. This was incredibly funny. I love the sketches with BAD Amanda, the girl who is always sent to her room until she says she's sorry. I remember seeing several of the cast on Goosebumps and squealing like a fan girl thus missing whatever diologue came next.
I also like the Hall Monitor skit with the mafia, and My Stupid Parents. That was great.
I just wish I could find the series online or in stores. That would be a great reminder of my childhood. Where did TV go after I turned 15? This is also why I love Robot Chicken. :D jD001

For years, this show wasn't even on IMDb here, even after I told them about the show, and who was on it, and what it was about. I guess someone with a bit more clout got ahold of some of the web-dorks at IMDb, because here it is! Proof I didn't dream it! I loved this show (yes, especially the street hockey interludes. "GLACIER!" "VIKINGS!" "EVIL DEAD!" as my personal favorite.) The dad on the motorized armchair bombing around, Dov Tiefenbach's curiously good acting skills, and the utterly random skits that played to my very warped sense of humor.
This show needs to be DVD'd. Now.

This is the only place on the entire internet that even mentions that this show existed. I think I remember loving this show as a kid, though I really don't remember much about it ten years later. My favorite sketch would have to be the one where two kids were trying to come up with the grossest thing that the other could possibly do. "Okay, a town full of people pick their noses and ears for a whole year and make a huge ball right in the center of town. No questions asked, you dive in face first and take a huge bite out of it."
Classy, I know.
