The movie largely takes place in Vancouver, British Columbia, where those Vancouver on location scenes were filmed. However, the motel where Anthony and Jay stay, which is supposed to be somewhere in Washington State, is also really in Vancouver, "The 2400" which is quite a recognizable Vancouver landmark.

Many of the primary actors appeared in guest roles on Da Vinci's Inquest (1998).
