This movie is also about police, just like Minjing Gu Shi (Police Story) made in the same year (Note: if you are Jackie Chan fan, then you would be disappointed because this Police Story is not the same as the Jackie Chan's Police Story series, which you would have to find under the Hong Kong category instead of China category).
Since we are talking about the Jakie Chan's Police story, we might just as well to make a comparison here: this movie is certainly not as dull as dishwater, like Minjing Gu Shi (Police Story) made in the same year, however, it is not as heavily action packed as those of Jackie Chan. However, this movie is far more realistic because unlike Jackie Chan's Police Story series, this movie does not emphasize on individual heroism, but gives an honest depiction of teamwork, the truth in real police work.
