From the "The Land of the Rising Sun": One wierdo after another

Every time I watch one of this Japanese wierd movies I tell myself that it must be the wiredest movie ever made. But I am wrong and the next movie surprises me with all director's imagination. Tetsuo was pretty strange and all this started with Visitor Q. What's going on in Japan?

        Worst movie I've ever seen

People treat this movie as some profound masterpiece but that's far from my interpretation. This is a movie that has a few ideas put into it that are there to be weird and unusual. Low budget, how does one make something interesting? Put a weird girl and a doll into it. I feel as though that was the direction the movie was going for with everything it did, it doesn't have anything interesting to say and the dialogue and acting is laughable. This can be treated as a comedy, and I'd rather it be treated that than some "underground masterpiece". Weird to be weird, movie to be movie, nothing more.

        Unintelligible??

Why would you even watch a film in another language without subtitles or dubbing? No wonder all these reviewers are claiming it's difficult to follow - well of course it is! Why not get a subtitled copy? I found it easy enough to find and I wasn't even trying.

I thought this was good but I think it could've been awesome if they completely rewrote the ending, perhaps delved a little deeper into the home situation and didn't blur the sex scenes but to be fair, enough happened in the movie's time frame to keep me interested and entertained for the full hour and 5.

If you like Asian cinema, give this a try, it's definitely worth a watch.

Film touching on the main problem of Japanese society!

The film is a film that touches on individual alienation and progresses at this point. The disappearance of values, nihilism, represents the main genre of the film. We see the situation with the competition within Japan and the masses being under the influence of nihilism. We watch this pitiful situation from the perspective of a young girl. The film had a full expressionist atmosphere, but it could not fully cover these mistakes. The mediocre acting of the film and its inability to draw you into its world made me dislike this expressionism effect, but I really admire the director's brave stage action, I have seen this current situation in his other films and he can do it without any fear of it.

        I hate this film

Over the course of a couple of years, I've been moseying through a top 50 list of most disturbing movies. I was already exactly halfway through so I chose to watch this one because it's short. And thank god it was. As of today, this is honest to god one of my least favorite films I have ever had the displeasure of watching. I knew it was going to be an unpleasant watch but I was at least expecting some good gore effects. No. None to be had. This is essentially a very filthy (in both senses of the word) fetish film with horrible production values, abysm acting, a ham fisted "twist", and needless debauchery of the most unappetizing, unerotic kind. Thinking about this film makes me angry. One big pile of crap.

          Sister: Hey, Misaki.

          Misaki: What is it Sister.

Sister: I bet you think that i deserve this. You're happy that this happened to me, aren't you.

Misaki: Sister, why do you say that. I care about you.

Sister: Then why don't you help me... When that man does horrible things to me. I know why, you're scared. You don't want him to do it to you. So you just stay quiet and let him do with me as he pleases.

          Misaki: That's not true.

Sister: You've always been the same. I was prettier then you, and better at studying. So mom loved me the most. You were always jealous of me, weren't you.

          Misaki: Stop it.

Sister: I bet you feel real good, now that i've ended up like this.

Misaki: Stop it Sister, stop it Sister.
