    A method of permenantly scarring an enemy. Typically, a knife is used to cut the sides of the victim's mouth, and then further pain is caused so that he will scream out in pain, ripping his cheeks open. The scars left as a result give the effect of a constant smile, hense the name (although there are several different names for this attack). In the film, the Birmingham City fan attempts to achieve the same effect by ripping a credit card from Matt's mouth.



    In order:

    West Ham United - the GSE (Green Street Elite) are the protagonists of the film.

    Tottenham Hotspur - the opening scene in which the GSE exchange words with a gang on a train platform before fighting.

    Birmingham City - Matt's first football match where he is attacked by the fans but rescued by the GSE before getting into a brawl with the same firm.

    Manchester United - the scene in which the GSE are informed, while on a train to Manchester, that a large group are waiting for them at the station. Matt uses his American accent to trick them into letting them through before a fight erupts.

    Millwall - the main antagonists in the film. They are first introduced when Bovver travels to the cafe. Then when Pete sides with Matt after he is found out to be a journalist, Bovver once again goes to see them and alerts them to Steve's whereabouts. Meanwhile, Steve has just revealed to Matt that he was once the leader of the GSE and was involved in a fight where Terry's son was killed, thus explaining both why Terry is so aggressive and why Steve is so angry at Pete for getting Matt involved in the firm. And finally, they are involved in the film's climatic fight.
