Around ten minutes of the original broadcast is missing from SVT's archives.
The competition was held in another city other than the capital Stockholm for the first time.
Before the competition, all artists and groups got the chance to guess who the winner would be. The would-be winner, Lasse Berghagen, received 4 votes, as did Svenne & Lotta. Björn Skifs received one vote. Svenne & Lotta did not vote due to them not having heard all the songs yet.
