The game was released for the 1st time in the US in 2007 as both an unlock-able and an enhanced remake called "Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles" for the Playstation Portable hand-held system. The original version of the game is an unlockable feature. The original, untranslated version was released in 2010 in North America for Nintendo's Virtual Console service for its Wii system.
