The Web

Edit
A part of the opening hallway scene had to be perfected in one take since it actually took place at the end of the school day when students were actually going home. It took three cameras filming simultaneously to capture the sequence and it was a success. Thankfully all the students were kind enough to not look into the camera as asked.
The school had not purchased a dolly yet. All dolly shots were done in a shopping cart found in a broom closet. The camera operators found this extremely uncomfortable which prompted the school to purchase a dolly for the students.
Filming for The Web and Checkmate overlapped a few times. The two videos actually filmed in the classroom across from one another. Many of the extras in Checkmate were used in The Web as well and vice versa.
Was initially to be only shot in S-VHS but due to the poor quality they were receiving, executive producer Alex Hakobian called in two experienced students from the advanced class, Marion Sistena and Chris Mallery, to assist in the filming using the school's new digital miniDV camera.
In the opening scene, when all the students leave class at the end of the day, a bunch of students had an end of the week ritual of screaming out loud, "FRIDAY!" When this video premiered at the school's Film Night which took place on a Friday.
