Terry Brain, who was one half of the creators and animators of this show, went on to work for Aardman Animation as an animator. The last project he worked on before his death in 2016 (aged just 60) was the 'Shaun the Sheep Movie' (2015).
The show was part of Saturday morning's children's programming in the UK (showing on the ITV network). It quickly developed a cult following among children and adults (who appreciated it's clever humor). In 1986 a well received video game was released on tape cassette for the Sinclair ZX Spectrum, Amstrad CPC and Commodore 64 home computers by Piranha Software.
Willie Rushton, who provides the voice of Berk, was a popular satirist and sometime actor in the UK and was well known in Australia . He also was a co-founder of the satirical magazine 'Private Eye' which was launched in 1961 and still going 61 years later. Rushton died in 1996 aged 59.
