FAQ

American Dad!

FAQ

Roger is an Alien, so attaching human sexual orientations to an Alien is not really a good indication of his sexual preferences. Roger has been shown to prefer men to women, but it is implied that Roger has done "Inappropriate Things" to Animals, Food items, Inanimate objects, Minors etc etc. Is this normal for his species or is this unique to Roger?

The Best way to describe Rodger is to say that Rodger is pretty much for anything when it comes to Sex.

Roger states in one episode that he is pansexual.

It is revealed in 2 different episodes that Barry suffers from a form of "Psychopathy" which is controlled when he takes his Anti Psychotic medication. Other then that it just seems as though Barry is generally "Not Very Bright" NOW "Psycho Barry" Seems to be Very Intelligent, so it is possible that his Anti Psychotic medication lowers his intelligence and his actual intelligence is much greater then we normally see.

While his exact age is never really expressly revealed, there are many instances throughout the show (based on his memories of going to school in such and such years) that Stan is in his Early to mid 40's (As is Francine)

His age has never been revealed although in episodes that take place in the future his appearances seem to be very much in line with Francine and Stan so he is most likely in his early to mid 40's

Yes. Francine tends to smoke when stressed.

Klaus has a strong German accent. In the German dub he has a saxonian (East German) accent instead.

Not always. Although Avery Bullock (played by Patrick Stewart) is an interesting character, in some cases Avery is seen as both the good guy and the bad guy. It depends on what the episode needs him to be, but he ultimately does things for his own self satisfaction, whether it be the good guy or the bad guy.

Yes, for a cut away gag on Family Guy, Joe Swanson takes over the role of Stan Smith for the theme song on American Dad.

No one has answered this question yet.

Although there are no current talks of American Dad having any spinoff series, the show occasionally has running gags where they promote "spinoff shows/pilots". Such as Mind Quad, The Naughty Stewardesses, and Lil Entourage. (To name a few.)

not for the foreseeable future, as Disney own the rights to the show.

No one has answered this question yet.

Francine Smith (known as Francine Ling before getting married to Stan Smith) is an adopted child to her Chinese parents after being abandoned by her biological parents in order for them to go on a luxury cruise. She has an older adopted sister, Gwen, and was originally left handed.

No one has answered this question yet.

While Langely Falls, according to the show, is located in Virgina, United States, there is no such city in Virginia or any other state in the United States for that matter, with the name of Langley Falls.

It most likely named after, and may be a Gothamesque stand-in for, Langley, VA in which the CIA main headquarters are located.

He has rarely mentioned his home planet, except to say that he worked as a greeter at a Wal-Mart-style department store, and has also shown an affinity for cold, indicating that his planet may be colder than Earth (or at least has a cold region) - in "Of Ice and Men" he said he learned to ice-skate on his planet, and that snow reminds him of his homeworld.

There is an episode where hailey buys a star, in order to prove he does care about something. This star is apparently rogers home planet.

Security Officer Peña, a Venezuelan-American who worked at the office buildings where Family Guy and American Dad! are produced.

    His sayings are:

    "Bye, have a great time!"

    "Bye, have a wonderful time!"

    "Bye, have a beautiful time!"

"Bye bye, see you real soon!"

    "Bye, have a beautiful day!"

    "Have a great night!"

A fridge magnet which indicates the current Homeland Security Advisory System level, which ranges from green (lowest) through blue, orange, yellow to red (highest); an indication of Stan's obsession with terrorism and national security.

It was replaced in 2011 by the National Terrorism Advisory System, which does not use colors, instead issuing alerts of "elevated" / "intermediate" / "imminent," but Stan seems to have held on to the old system.

Like "Family Guy" selected extended episodes of "American Dad" were released on DVD.
