Problems during production in Spain included high winds, sand in the equipment, and temparatures up to 104 deg. F (40 deg. C.)
Boohbah means Doll in Hebrew.
On location, Dash the dog would get territorial about the beach and would chase away other dogs that came near the set. Dash was also so easily distracted that the crew was banned from eating meals on the set.
The Storyworld sequences were shot in Spain between Malaga and Tarifa, because the sunny weather and simple backgrounds provided a storybook look. 104 stories were shot, taking 1 1/2 days each.
The snowy episodes of Storyworld were shot in England, and required artificial snow made of finely shredded paper mixed with water. A papier-mache-like residue often resulted and was hard to shower off.
