Kimi Katkar had refused to shoot due to non payment from Sajid Nadiadwala. Her husband was now taking care of financial matters. Sajid came and met Shantanu and begged him to make Kimi shoot for the film as he finally got dates from Dharmendra and Govinda. Shantanu stated he wanted all the money up front. Sajid said this was impossible as he paid all his stars in installments. A major argument broke out and they both had to be separated. This is when Sajid contacted his friends from the underworld who went to Shantanu's house and threatened him. Shantanu had no choice but to give in to the demands of Sajid.
The film was launched in 1988.
It was alleged that Sajid Nadiadwala's friends from the under world financed the film.
