Shades of Sin (2004)

Trivia

Shades of Sin

Edit
Solange Couto and Rômulo Estrela are the only cast member who were born in São Luís.
Reynaldo Gianecchini, Leonardo Brício, Caio Blat, Cauã Reymond, Pedro Neschling, Rosi Campos and Karina Bacchi (from the Sardinha family subplot) trained martial arts before filming started even though Blat, Rosi and Karina's characters were not demanded so. Gianecchini appeared as the fighter twin Apolo for few episodes only.
Taís Araújo learned the Crioula, a popular Maranhense dance from African ancestry, with local dance groups. When her love interest Paco first sees her, her character Preta is performing the Crioula.
Reynaldo Gianecchini's stunt double Marcello Ferreira, who stood in for his identical twin roles, has been often confused with the actor in real life up to the point he once needed to show off his identity card.
A spin off sitcom based on the Sardinha family was considered but plans fell through.
