I'm not a big drama fan but this movie was good. Doubly so for something so low budget. Based on a true story this movie chronicles how two new bail bondsmen save their new boss and his company by uncovering corruption. It's done in a very realistic and believable way but not overly gritty a la NYPD Blue and others. And its got a healthy sense of humor. It never takes itself too seriously but doesn't make itself look silly either. The production values are low but the acting and writing are both very good. The directing could have been better but since this movie has a realistic tone to it anyway it isn't noticeable. The action sequences are decent. All in all you should watch this movie, you will not regret it.
Saw this movie late at night and loved the dark humor. The banter between the two main characters seemed so real. I thought the acting by the supporting characters was a bit weak, but story was good. The dramatic tension was very consistent. The only major flaw about this movie would be that the music is way too cheesy. My favorite scenes involved Keno's smart play off Quick's tough exterior. The jokes are funny, the conflict is believable, and the movie is not too long. Most women probably wouldn't like this movie because of the all the corny macho guy dialogue, but I'm a girl and I actually enjoyed it. If you're interested in different type of movie to watch with some willing friends then this would be a good choice.
Normally I'm one to enjoy a mindless action movie regardless of writing, acting or directorial style. These are generally good movies to watch as entertainment in the background. Last night I queued up "Fugitive Hunter." I was disappointed. This movie didn't succeed at anything. It was too flat to have any sort of compelling drama, the action was too badly-choreographed to get any adrenalin flowing, and the movie too itself too seriously to gain any significant "camp" value. The writing and directing were not only sub-par, they were almost laughably bad. Unfortunately they weren't so bad as to inspire actual laughter, but rather only a disbelieving sidelong stare.
Maybe if it's 3AM and you can't sleep and this movie is on cable it might be worth tuning in for a few minutes, but I just can't recommend spending any money on this flick.

As others report this is quite an impressive effort, there are much worse movies you can watch. It is entertaining, and the plot is good enough. You will not even notice much that there was not a lot of money. In a car chase the fugutive hunters deliberate about putting a helicopter in the sky. "There is no time", they conclude.
All males are obese. Is this the start of a new genre? After blaxploitation now obeseploitation? Fat good guys hunting fat bad guys? Let's have donuts, hot dogs and shoot our guns? Heavy weight kung-fu? Quite a change after the skinny martian arts specialists and the regular American six-pack action heroes.
That all male characters are obese is not very disturbing, sometimes I noticed though, which pulled me away from the storyline. I'm not sure if this new attempt to a genre is a good idea, therefore.

Watched the film last night!
I was very pleasantly surprised by this production. I found myself drawn in to the movie from the beginning and through to the end. I'm no fugitive, so I never knew about the 8th Amendment and the rights of bail law, or for that matter how the bail bonds agencies cope with bail jumpers. I realize that the movie was embellished from actual events, however I found the film to be very believable.
I am especially impressed with the fact that the drama of the film was tempered by Keno's quirky comic relief. Hats off to this tremendous effort considering all the constraints of low budget productions. How often are we treated to an action drama with none of the "Hollywood" gratuities?
The film-look fits the genre, grainy; low budget and dark, I thought the Director made a good call there.
