Not as good as the 94 version

This version didn't have the charm of that of the 94 version.

The game was vastly weakened. 94 should even be that hard to beat, but they failed at doing so. The game just looked to kiddish. I beat the 94 version as a child mind you.

Overall, a kiddish game. I was very disappointed in the game.

At the beginning of the game, Pitfall Harry mentions a fellow explorer named Forrestal who went looking for a Chacopayan idol in the Peruvian jungle. This is a direct reference to Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981), where Indiana Jones mentions a fellow explorer named Forrestal who was trying to recover the Chacopayan idol he is after in Peru. The game also makes several references to "that Jones guy."
