Actress Florencia Bertotti was later sued by Cris Morena for her creation of the similar series Niní (2009), which she produced as well as starred. Morena won the case.
Rerun by the Argentine channel Telefe in 2012, though Cris Morena created this series for Canal 13 after her disagreement with Telefe, which led to the sudden cancellation of Chiquititas (1995).
The title "Floricienta" is a combination of "Cenicienta", as the Cinderella fairy tale is known in Catalan, and "Flor", a reference to the main character.
