Karan Nath did this film only because of Manish Koirala as she was his favourite during his childhood.
Manisha Koirala was paired with much younger Karanath.
When the film' s promotion started, Manisha's then boyfriend Cecil Anthony, phoned the head PR of the film Alok Mathur. He threatened him abuses for using revealing pictures of Manisha for all the publicity pictures. Alok said those were the only pictures he received from the Venus production so he had no choice.
Karan Nath was not happy with the way the movie was shot and didn't dub for the film.
There was a shelved movie F.K.F. Productions shelved film " Sitam" ( Previously titled Tum). Starring Jackie Shroff, Preeti Jhangiani,Saif Ali Khan Aftab Shivdasani, Bipasha Basu, Sakshi Sivanand, Sheeba,Johny Lever. Music by Nikhil Vinay, Directed by E Niwas.This was in 2002. Sunil Shetty was previously in the film but replaced by Saif Ali Khan. Diya Mirza was also replaced by Bipasha Basu.
