Trivia

The Maggie dela Riva Story (God... Why Me?)

Edit
Singer/actress Ana Rivera, who plays Maggie's sister in the film, is Maggie dela Riva's real-life niece.
Actual newspaper clippings of Maggie dela Riva's ordeal are shown in the film.
The late Miguel Rodriguez was chosen for the role of Jaime Jose because he bore a striking resemblance to him.
Lourdes Paredes San Diego, the judge who sentenced the four rapists to death, was against the death penalty in real life. When her daughter, radio-show host Jo San Diego, asked her about this matter in one interview, Lourdes replied "Darling, in Philippine law, rape is punishable by death." San Diego later became the first female Chief Justice of the Court of Appeals.
In a Yes! Magazine interview in 2006, Dawn Zulueta stated that she had a natural rapport with Michael de Mesa and Ricky Davao: "You had the feeling of acting but you didn't want to be suave." She added that "none of them wanted chemistry but others like Ricky Davao wanted to support each other." She also stated that their friendship made it easy to talk about how to do a certain scene.
