Actor Hal Smith had played the character on the Adventures in Odyssey radio drama until his death, and had also voiced the character in the previous videos. Actor Paul Herlinger replaced Hal definitively in 1996 on both radio and video, making this the only time that the character was not portrayed by Smith or Herlinger.
