Trivia

Khule-Aam

Edit
Director Tarun Dutt took his own life on January 1, 1989. This was during the making of the film. His brother Arun Dutt took over and finished the film.
The fight in the market was copied from "Raiders of the Lost Ark" and the music playing in the background was that of "Star Wars".
Guru Dutt's children had a major falling out with each other during the making of the film. Guru Dutt's daughter Nina alleged her brothers Tarun and Arun were mismanaging funds in her fathers production house. She sent out a legal notice with these accusations. Nina stated she was the rightful owner of the home banner and no distributor should buy the film with out her consent.
The film did not have a theatrical release in British Columbia,Canada.
Johnny Walker's sweet shop scam comedy scene from Aadmi Aur Insaan was later done by Dharmendra in Khulle Aam and Mehar Mittal in a Punjabi movie.
