Fidelity Inc.

1 review

Entertaining if slight Hannah Harper vehicle

Skye Blue is in a friendly mood with this first teaming with British import superstar Hannah Harper for Sin City, a convincing tale of a topic dating back to old '30s and '40s B programmers. Hannah hires "imposters" (out of work actors and actresses) to entrap spouses at the behest of the other spouse who think their partner is cheating on them.

Though the film ends slightly cryptically on a shot of workmen (crew members previously seen in night club scenes as extras) removing the "Fidelity Inc." sign from the exterior of an office building, Hannah's business seems to be thriving, as infidelity is a constant factor in modern society.

The best vignette in this familiar "one client's story after another" structure has mousy young wife Brittney Skye insisting that the boss - Harper - play the seductress herself in snaring her husband Steven St. Croix. What we get is a double whammy: Hannah humping Steven and Brittney separately seducing Hannah to boot. This gives rise to Steven's immortal line to HH: "You screwed up my marriage with your silly little games and you fu*ked my wife!". I wish Susan Lucci had been handed that in an uncensored soap opera.

While a subplot involving HH getting threats, like "You are a dead bitch!!" tacked up on her door, is awkwardly handled by auteur Skye, the actress Skye gives a fine performance here -especially impressive for me since I initially formed by opinion of her years ago based on seeing her just in gonzo assignments, servicing Mandingo or other big-dicked studs. Also notable in a supporting role (and sloppily appearing as an extra in another scene as if we wouldn't notice) is deep-tanned Devon Michaels as Hannah's receptionist. Her presence provides a fine substitute for IR content via her intense skin tone contrast with the rest of the cast.
