Frank Thring deserves more latter-day recognition based on the high quality of his work, as evidenced by this lesser-known but well-crafted set of 3 short stories for Pirate/Private Media. Each is presented in two scenes and packs a wallop.
"Secret Garden" has Thring himself as the gardener, instructing visitor Dru Berrymore to be sure to leave before 5pm, or else. The else turns out to be witnessing hot sex scenes, first Nick Lang humping beautiful Vanda out in the garden, and then indoors a dominatrix Carmen humping two male slaves.
Andalusian locations in Spain, Private's home base, are attractive for "Mystery in Spain", the usual tale of a couple stranded due to car trouble, ending up having group sex in a mansion courtesy of maid Vanda and the count who owns the place, John Walton. Dru is back as the heroine with Frank Gun her man. Gun later gets to be sub to dominatrix Malory with plenty of latex for the fetichists out there in video land.
Finale titled "Burglar's Surprise" has thief Leslie Taylor captured by a dominatrix and put in a dungeon where David Perry complains of mistreatment, trapped there for a couple of weeks. I believe both the Man in the Iron Mask and the Count of Monte Cristo had far more justification for whining, as chief Perry complaint is too much sex from both the dominatrix and her jailer girl.
Beautifully photographed, this is Thring demonstrating how various fetish motifs ranging from "lick my boots" action to the typical riding crop application can be made interesting in a narrative context, rather than the usual "stare for an hour" approach of so many thousands of useless fetish videos.
