Edit
In episode 2, "Shabat Babassis" (Saturday in the base), musicians Idan Raichel and Shlomo Gronich are having a competition, who makes better music using Israeli-Ethiopian Jews. Idan Reichel turns up the volume on his car radio when his hit "Bo'i" plays. You can the radio is on 91.8 FM, Galgalatz, the station known to play his songs in a notoriously high frequency.
In episode 3 (shown as episode 6 on channel 2), "Ze'ev, Ze'ev" ("Wolf, Wolf"), the two men from the newscrew wear the same T-shirts as the title characters in MTV's Beavis and Butthead. The episode also references The Blair Witch Project (1999).
In episode 6, "Hamishpat" (The Trial), there is a scene in English (rather than the usual Hebrew) which takes place under a bridge. The dialog in this scene is almost exact to the one in Spike Lee's "25th hour" where Edward Norton is looking for a way not to enter prison with a pretty face.
In episode 5, "Behazara La'avar" (Back to the past), Shulman and Hanukah return back in time using a time machine. There is a flux capacitor in the machine, just like the one in the Back To The Future trilogy.
The disabled soldier is named Michal Levinstein. Beit Levinstein ("Levinstein House") is a rehabilitation institute and hospital that helps disabled people function better with physiotherapy and other treatments.
