One of Turkish cinema's examples with lots of singing. Emel Sayin is Turkey's most famous classic music singers. She not only sings beautifully, also is beautiful herself. Unfortunately, when it comes to acting, I cant carry on my compliments. This is one of her movies in which she uses her career in music to accomplish her acting. Gulizar is the daughter of a well-off family who are originally from the north of Turkey. Ediz Hun is playing her husband-to-be. Their families promise to each other when they were born that these two are to be married. This is an old tradition in Turkey called Besik Kertmesi. Although, Gulizar is excited to meet the guy, she wants him to marry her by falling in love with her, not because of this tradition and her family's fortune. She tells her idea to the parents and they all except and take part in this foolish game. She shows herself as an ugly, awkward, thick rich girl and meets him outside as a singer Gulizar. The whole thing is so silly that as soon as she decides to become a singer she sings off a contract and becomes a widely known singer. That's what everyone wishes for. On the other hand, he cannot see how obvious this set up is. All in all, as always, he breaks Gulizar's heart and then makes things up to her to win her back and they live happily ever after. Well, it is always fun to watch that sort of stuff but you should never take it seriously. I give 2 out of 10 just because of its naive approach but for its value in movie business * out of *****
